Creating A Website Has Never Been Easier

If you are like most people, you get your message out through popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, and perhaps a dash of Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Plus. These are all great ways to make yourself known. However, if you want to establish a true internet presence, you will need your own customized website.

An actual website, in addition to a social media page, offers you ultimate control over design and content. This lends credibility to your personal brand. Social media sites allow some creativity, but your own website gives you a way to discover your very own unique brand image.

I have always wanted to build a website of my own but have been delaying it over and over again because of fear of managing it.

I think after the video I saw, it is really not as hard and techy as I thought, I’ll do it after this comment. A quick question though, I will be taught how to make money, good money, with it. Right?

A year ago, I decided to create a website around my passion and chose WordPress simply because of their well known name and popularity across the web.
I was completely new to website building and chose Wealthy Affiliate to teach me how to create one as well as attract visitors to read my written content.

WordPress websites are so straightforward to build, it surprised me how effortless the process is, requiring no technical experience whatsoever. All you require is a helping hand how to accomplish the website creation and this is what Wealthy Affiliate teach.

I keep wondering whether to change my theme in WordPress. Is this straightforward to do or are their complications transferring everything over?
    Thanks for your help,
    Simon.

      Hi Simon,

Thanks for stopping by! Changing a theme in WordPress is quite simple; however, there is a process, which can prove to be a little time consuming. Before switch your theme, it is very important to back up your site. In fact, we suggest you back up your site before making any major changes. This way you won’t lose all your hard work. Before activating your new theme, preview the them you choose. When you preview your new theme, you are checking to see how it will work on your site. One advantage of using WordPress to build your website is that WordPress allows you to install and preview a them before activating it. While you are in the preview stage, it is extremely important to take notes. This is where the process can become time consuming. Take note of how the new theme will your site. Study your site’s main page, look at various post, single pages, and your archived articles. Once you have finished taking notes, it is time to decide whether or not you can easily adjust to your new theme. The content on your pages and posts will not change; however, there are things that will change. These include the following: menu, widget settings, theme settings, theme specific features, theme specific short codes, and you may need to resize your images. One thing we like to do before making any major changes to our website, it we create a test site. It seems like a lot of work, but it is well worth the effort. 4. Hey Larry and Kathy,

If someone would’ve offered me a million dollars to build them a website 5 years ago, I would’ve said PASS.

The simplicity of creating a website is something that all small business owners can benefit from. The fact that you’re offering a free website with a free theme is even better!

Some businesses put so much work and money into creating the perfect website that they never get started.

I agree that WordPress is pretty awesome; probably because I use it. LOL

But I tried Weebly and I didn’t like it.

The best part is it’s easy and there is no need to learn code.

    Thanks for posting,

    • Hi Diana,
Thanks for stopping by! Twelve years ago, I was in the middle of getting my Master’s Degree; one of our assignments was to create a website. It wasn’t the most easy task–especially since I did not know how to write code. I still don’t, for that matter. That’s why WordPress is my choice. Anyway, as I was saying, I was required to create a website. The program we were required to use was Front Page. It was supposed to be user friendly; however, I didn’t find it friendly at all. I managed to learn it and I created a website that earned me an A for the course, but it wasn’t easy. I find WordPress to be so much easier. You mentioned Weebly. Some of my friends give it good grades; however, I haven’t tried it myself. That is something I plan to do in the near future–just so I can form my own opinions about it.
      Thanks for commenting!
